Begone Birdies!

Our beautiful Merlot grapes are ripening now, and that means thirsty birds (and wasps) are finding the grapes to be a tasty treat. Last year we lost a big percentage of our harvest to the critters. This year, we are putting up bird netting, which is time consuming, but effective. Those charming nests in the vineyard, which produced many of this year's marauders, have to go. Dang! There's even a grape in this robin's nest!
