It's Bottling Time Again!

The temp is hovering around 35 degrees, so it's a good day to spend in the winery. Jed started by bottling a merlot vinegar from 2015's harvest. That makes it one of our oldest vinegars, and also one of our smoothest. Once he was done, my job was to slip the little plastic sleeves over the top of each cap and then shrink it with a quick blast from a hair dryer. Final step: put a label on each bottle.

Once the red was done, Jed cleaned our bottler thoroughly and moved on to our white wine vinegar. It's all done and ready for me to sleeve and label. We always have music playing when we have work to do in the winery. It makes the tasks enjoyable and we enjoy working on bottling together -- even when the weather outside is frightful.
