The Strawberries Are Coming!

The leaves on my strawberry plants have greened up with the warmer weather. It won't be long before there are tiny white blossoms, and then delicious red berries. So it's a good time to share a recipe for strawberry vinaigrette. It's what will pull your strawberry and spinach salad together.

Strawberry Vinaigrette

+ 1/4 cup Old Sourpuss Strawberry Vinegar

+ 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

+ 1/4 cup white sugar

+ 1 tablespoon poppyseeds

Whisk all of the ingredients together in a medium size bowl. Cover and let sit while you make the rest of the salad. Besides the spinach and strawberries, consider adding slides of purple onion, some bits of blue cheese, and some walnuts, pecans,

or sliced almonds.
